This reminds me of when I read Anna Karenina. It was a few weeks into my first job out of college and I felt like I should read something. So I got an ebook copy of Anna Karenina because I'd heard it was one of the greatest novels ever (totally not weird way to decide what to read). It took me almost a whole year to read, a few pages on the toilet, with occasional weeks without reading. I guess that's the opposite of your approach to reading. After finishing I read Infinite Jest and I'm starting to think I might just read to punish myself.

Also, I didn't know you've read Anna Karenina!! What did you think?

I loved it. I thought it put a lot of things into perspective. My memory is hazy on the details at this point but I remember there were a lot of conflicts and dilemmas that felt very 'modern'. It's good to be reminded that our personal and cultural struggles are not new but very old and very human.

My roommate in college took a Russian Literature class. While she was reading Anna Karenina, it disappeared. When her laundry was done, she found it in the washer.

Which team do you do Scav Hunt with? May I recommend https://www.scavhunt.net/. This is the Graduate and Alumni Scav Hunt Team. Wonderful group to do Scav with.

I scav with Maclean! That's where I lived when I went to UChicago, so I feel some loyalties. But GASH always seems like they have tons of fun!

My son Patrick, a Scav judge, lived in Maclean all 4 years. MacLean no longer exists. I scav with GASH.
